Former Silver Strikers defender Mike Robert dies

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Former Silver Strikers football club defender Mike Robert has died at the Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) in Lilongwe after succumbing with kidney problems.

As per his young brother Jacob Robert who plays for the Malawi Police Service sponsored side, Blue Eagles FC says his brother has been ill for long period due to the kidney problem.

“My brother also succumbed to cerebral malaria and today around 16:00 hours that’s when he died.The whole program will be communicated later”, Jacob mourned.

Mike Robert comes from Dowa district.
