LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi’s versatile author, Kelvin Sulugwe has hinted on publishing a book which outlines easiest ways of making it in Malawi.
Sulugwe, the brain behind Akometsi Private Limited, a multimedia company, disclosed the plans on Monday, in an interview with this reporter.
According to Sulugwe, much as it is a tough ride for most Malawians, particularly who inherit poverty from their families and start from scratch, all is not lost because there still, are several ways to swim through stormy waters.
The social media influencer cum communications specialist expressed strongest conviction that after reading his book people will discover that behind Malawi’s extremities, there are opportunities.
“Growing up in Malawi is a gamble. It is infact a risk especially to people who are born from poor families. Starting from scratch, without connections is very frustrating,” he said.
“In this book I am tackling different challenges and how one can overcome them and become financially and mentally capable.”
The book, according to Sulugwe, also tackles mental health issues.
“Life is tough. Full of ups and downs. I’ve had my fair share of both. Overcoming the pressure that comes when one is faced with predicaments is not easy. Most people end up depressed,” said Sulugwe.
Adding that; “We’ve many cases of mental health issues in the country rising from societal pressures. Our society usually judges people when they fail. In this book, I’m looking at ones survival and how your own wins should inspire you to rise again.”
The book is slated for release on August 31, 2022 and will be available, for sell, in paperback, ebook and audio chapters which will be available on Amazon, googleplay and Apple, among other major platforms.
Local media platform, Mikozi network will be part of the distributors of the book’s hardcopies.
“We’ve received hundreds of preorders from people and we’ve partnered with courier companies for delivery to people who directly order from us,” he said.
