Kenyan police kills young boy to enforce COVID-19 curfew

NAIROBI-(MaraviPost)-One person has been killed by police in Mumias market, Kakamega County as police disperse traders in attempt to enforce government imposed curfew.

Reports by pulse Kenya have revealed that the police used teargas to dispense the traders who allegedly failed to adhere to measures set aside by government to stop the spread of deadly Novel Coronavirus.

The tragedy has happened few days after President Uhuru Kenyatta apologized to Kenyans for the excessive use of force by the police that led to the death of 3 other individuals.

One of the victims, 13 year-old who was identified as Yasin Muitel died in hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound after hit by a bullet in the stomach while on the balcony of their home in Kiamaiko estate, Nairobi.

The other two victims died after brutally beaten by police when they were implementing the curfew.
