BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Zingwangwa Youth Centre on Friday night was brought to life as the mammoth crowd eagerly awaited the performance of reggae artist Khizzo B.
Inspired by his musical idols Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, Khizzo B has quickly become a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
With a setlist featuring twenty powerful songs, some of which have already taken the radio airwaves by storm, the crowd knew they were in for a night to remember.
Khizzo B, born Christopher Banda, attributes his love for music to his uncle Daniel Namakhwa, who used to serenade him with her acoustic guitar.
It was through these fond memories that Khizzo B discovered his passion for music.
Starting out playing the drums in his local church band, his talent for rhythm and melody blossomed.
One of his most popular songs, “Kaya,” has reached astounding success in Malawi and recently made waves in neighboring countries such as Mozambique, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
A music enthusiast from Zimbabwe named Zvikomborero Gwindi expressed her admiration for Khizzo B, stating that he has taken the world of music by storm, captivating audiences with his unique style.
The renowned Malawian musician, Lucius Banda, echoed this sentiment, expressing the pride that Malawi feels for producing such a remarkable talent in Khizzo B.
Residing in the vibrant city of Blantyre, specifically in the Zingwangwa neighborhood, Khizzo B has become a local icon.
The Zingwangwa Youth Centre had never before witnessed such an electric atmosphere as the crowd eagerly awaited the start of Khizzo B’s performance.
