Love makes Teddy in his EP ‘Aye’

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)- Ever since Teddy registered his name in the secular music world locally, he has been a darling to many.

His Midas soft voice has been captivating many M-Dubz urban music fanatics.

By and by, critics have started branding him as the next best thing in the local urban music industry.

His recent maiden EP, “Aye” has just cemented the golden path this artist is trekking.

The seven-song compilation, which is mostly about romantic love, is already becoming popular in most entertainment joints countrywide, not to mention local radio stations.

Teddy says it has taken him this long as he was striving for top-notch quality output.

“I’ve taken time, effort and a lot of hard work for I believe in giving people quality products and I can assure people that the quality itself is international standard. Currently, I can safely say, I’m seeing my career as singer and song writer turning white.” He bragged.

Teddy believes his EP will energize his fans to appreciate another new angle of local urban music – a side they have never seen before.

“This is a new experience of urban music altogether. I’m hopeful people are feeling happy upon listening to the songs,” he articulates.

Getting inspiration from Phyzix, he describes the EP as having the elements of dance and love vibes with a foundation of Afro-beats.

“It’s about the feeling that comes with it, a really good feeling. Aye (The EP) is full of club bangers.” Sonye praises.

Since he ventured into the music industry in 2014 after releasing a single, “Mpaka kale”, the Blantyre based artist has worked with a lot of highly respected gurus in the game. Phyzix, Hazel Mak, Purple C, and many more faces have been some of his regular professional buddies; a feat he says has helped him up his game.

“I’ve worked with a number of artists in the country, and this has given me experience on how I should tackle music, therefore I am working hard to reach a point where i will be satisfied.” He says.

Produced and recorded by artist cum producer Sonyezo of Sonye of Houston Music studio, The EP which has such songs as Aye, Designer, Unyanya, Check on you, joy, Voice-note, and On my way.

In a separate interview, Sonye has described Teddy as an artist who has proven to a lot of fans that he is here to stay.

“Teddy is consistent with good music, his also a monster on stage…in short, he’s an all-rounder,” Sonye praises.

Meanwhile, Teddy has revealed he is releasing his second EP this September. That aside, he says he is hosting an annual music event dubbed “November Madness” where various artists are going to be showcasing their talents.
