LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Police Service (MPS) in Lilongwe are keeping in custody a 43-year old Nigerian national for allegedly being found in possession of 33 blisters of cocaine.
Central West Region Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Foster Benjamin identified the suspect as Paul Chizetere Osuaha.
The Police publicist Benjamin told The Maravi Post that Osuaha was arrested at around 22:30 hours on Friday at Area 49 New Gulliver in the capital Lilongwe.
“The officers busted the suspect at a place called Pamowa as he was selling the illicit drug, and they took him to his house.
“A search led to the discovery of 33 blisters of cocaine and MK1 million cash, which the law enforcers immediately seized,” said Benjamin.
Meanwhile, Osuoha has been charged with found in possession of dangerous drug without license.
The Nigerian suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
