As elections draws closer sweet words are quickly turning into bitter as politics of the belly plays a large part of 2019 elections.
Those who joined alliances in the interest of nation building have divorced in the interest of who; one wonders.
It was not long ago when they conceded they were doing this for the better of nation. Now is the brokage serving the interest of Malawians or few elites and relatives?
Opposition as well as the ruling party are all living on a lie.
While opposition indicated the need for an alliance the government and president Peter Mutharika are going about promising Singapore in Blantyre and bring UK and the entire Europe in Lilongwe the next 5 years.
This is a joke of politics in Malawi.
The beauty of it is that civil society is not as dumb and dump as we were in 1994, 99 and 2004.
Malawians are more active both in the village and urban centres.
We know of the people personalizing and making political parties as “hand bags” and “pocket wallets”.
We know of family political parties and politico-business entities playing vanities with citizens.
They go around speaking for the people yet they are fighting for their own personal greed and dynasty.
You have “trapped the moonlight Guinea fowls know your tricks” come 2019 you will be treated with the contempt you deserve.
The next few days political prostitution is on the marathon browsing for greener pastures to find out ‘wetlands’ and ‘fertile soil’ to plant their greed in the name of coalitions and alliances.
We will decampaign you for taking citizens for granted.
You said you did this for the welfare of the nation what a marriage of three days? Shame on you all!
People that have been in the government since 2004 got a break of two years and continued from 2014 to date have the audacity and shamelessly going around promising Singapore at one part of the country and go to promise UK and Europe on the other part of the same country; are you insane?
Are you not ashamed with the people you deceive? Do you think you are leading deaf citizens or what?
Fellow citizens the madness of our politicians have developed a disease of psychomylitis.
They know they are liars, they have nothing to offer, they know they have messed up they don’t know what to promise any more. They know they are thieves but they keep lying to keep stealing our taxes.
As you go into the “ballot box” on the 21st May 2019 know that you are alone, no one see you and no one will tell you what to do.
Love your country and vote for leaders that are true to your conscious and follow your instincts.
They have failed to end black outs, failed to bring medicines in hospitals, failed to stop corruption and state looting, they are deadly thieves stealing openly with Indians how can they bring Singapore, UK and Europe the next five years when they have failed the past 13 years?
They have failed to make an alliance because of greed and ego because they want to be leaders or their family members, how can they be trusted?
It is your conscious [citizens] to vote and bring in power the people and political party of your choice but just make sure Malawi must move on not backwards.
