LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-In it’s quest for corporate social responsibility, Old mutual Malawi Limited on Friday, July 15, 2022 donated MK5 million towards Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) staff treat.
The treat is slated for July 19 to 21,2022 at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi.

Patience Chatsika, Marketing and Corporate Affairs Manager told the news conference after handling the dummy cheque that the funds should help the commission to hold a successful treat for the betterment of the country.
Chatsika observes that MHRC remains a key partner in insurance accessibility hence the support towards its core business.
“MHRC staff training has great significance in building a working environment that is so conducive and one that celebrates inclusivity, equality and diversity.
“Old Mutual appreciate the role MHRC does to the public on human rights as well as our partner in business hence the support,” she says.
MHRC Director of social, economic and cultural rights Mankhumbo Munthali therefore lauded Old Mutual for the timely support towards the treat.
Munthali says the treat is very critical whereby the staff members will have enough time to review MHRC strategic plan that is coming to an end in 2022.
He observes that the treat will also help the commission to clear backload of cases that have been complied for years.
“The commission has a mandate to serve Malawians better. This is achieved through through effective delivery of critical cases.
“The commission has not held any of the staff retreat for the last ten years therefore the platform will gives us an opportunity to reviews activities that serve Malawians better. The treat will also therefore equip our staff as such we thank Old Mutual for the timely support,” excited Munthali.
