BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Some Malawians working at one of the country’s tourism ventures, Paulendo Adventures are yet to loss their jobs as the company announces it will close its business on December 2,2022.
In a statement, the company’s founder and team leader Yangairo Yangairo says there are a number of circumstances that have necessitated the unfortunate decision, among others, hostile economic climate which has resulted in significant losses to the adventure company and making it as not adventurous.
” In the years that we have been in service, we are glad and proud to have served all our customers well.
” It remains our sincere wish that one day we will come back to and continue serving our existing and new customers.
” On a personal note, I am deeply grateful towards all the people who have made Paulendo into the brand that it has been.
” Your support is not for granted and will always be appreciated. Keep rendering the same support to other tourism ventures, ” reads the statement in part.
It adds ” Please be assured that we will settle all outstanding payments, debts, and undelivered merchandise by the closing date.”
Meanwhile, the company says its offices shall remain open until the closing date.
Paulendo Adventures is a Malawian tour company that aims at promoting tourism both local and international through travel, hiking and sustainability of the environment.
It started in 2018 and came to the fore in 2020 where it organized a 350km walk from Blantyre to Lilongwe to raise funds for training of tour guides.
