Police officer Nokesi Kashitiyano arrested over workmate’s motorbike theft in Lilongwe

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Police service in Lilongwe is holding one of their own on suspicion that he stole two motorbikes from his workmates at C Division offices.

Lilongwe Police Station publicist Hastings Chigalu says the suspect Nokesi Kashitiyano allegedly stole a motorbike in December last year when his colleague the bike owner was deployed for guard duties at area 10 in Lilongwe.

According to Chigalu, his workmate reported the case after seeing his bike with a Kabaza operator and referred him to the owner who disclosed that he bought it from the police officer.

The suspect Kashitiyano aged 31, hails from Mgona village, Traditional Authority (T.A) Tengani in Nsanje.
