BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-In its quests to meet social corporate responsibility amid Coronavirus scare, Redbrick Limited on Thursday, April 2, 2020 assorted preventive materials to Malawi’s referral Queens Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH).
The donated items worthy MK1.5 million including buckets, basins and hand sanitizers aimed at fighting against COVID pandemic scare which Malawi is yet to register.
Redbrick Limited’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Jamie Da Silva told The Maravi Post after donating the items that was responding to the need towards COVID-19 prevention.
Da Silva disclosed that the exercise will also be extended to other district hospitals.
“As the company’s corporate and social Responsibility as QECH treats a large population of Blantyre patients, we thought of supporting the hospital with the prevention materials which will be a great help to fight the COVID-19.
“We expect to do more donations to district hospitals in the upcoming weeks with materials to help prevent the COVID- 19. Queens is the beginning of many donations we are going to do,” assures Da Silva.
A Mr Ngwira Qech Chief Administrator lauded the company for timely support toward prevention of COVID-19.
Ngwira therefore urged other able companies and individuals to emulate Redbrick Limited’s good gesture towards prevention of the virus.
Malawi is among African countries not yet registered any COVID-19 case including Sao Tome and Principe, Comoros, Lesotho, and South Sudan
