Six dead as medical aid plane crashes, bursts into flames in Nairobi

NAIROBI-(MaraviPost)-Six people have died following the crash of a small aircraft belonging to a medical aid organization in Nairobi, Kenya, earlier today.

According to the BBC, the Cessna aircraft had departed from Wilson Airport on Thursday afternoon.

It was en route to Hargeisa, Somalia, when it tragically crashed in a residential area of Githurai, a suburb of Nairobi.

The aircraft reportedly burst into flames upon impact, setting some surrounding houses on fire.

Four people on board the plane died, including doctors, nurses, and the pilot.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.

As of now, details remain unclear, but emergency services responded swiftly to the scene to contain the fire and secure the area.
