Two teenage girls have been charged with murder following a carjacking and crash in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON-(MaraviPost)-Two teen girls, 14 and 15, have been charged with murder following a carjacking and crash in Washington, D.C. that left an Uber Eats delivery driver dead.

According to Metropolitan Police Department, the two girls used a stun gun on the driver on Tuesday near the Nationals Park in the Southeast section of the city causing him to crash his car.

The victim, a Pakistani immigrant grandfather who was identified as Mohammad Anwar, 66, sustained life-threatening injuries following the incident and he was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Report by NBC indicated that the two girls were arrested at the scene after being pulled from the wreck by two National Guard troops who were in the area.

They were charged with felony murder and carjacking and took them to the homicide branch of the Metropolitan Police Department. They appeared in juvenile court on Wednesday and their attorneys entered pleas of non-involvement and asked for their release.

Anwar with his family emigrated from Pakistan to the US in 2014 and was working for Uber Eats at the time of the incident.

He is survived by a wife and two adult children in the U.S. and an adult son and four grandchildren in Pakistan, according to his family.
