FDH Bank aids MK27.5m towards cyclone Ana’s homeless families

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-FDH bank with corporate social responsibility quest has mobilized itself and helped some areas of the country that have been affected by cyclone Ana.

This follows as several areas in Malawi’s Southern part have been hit badly by the cyclone leaving many families destitute as they were stripped of their livelihoods and lack of basic necessities to survive.

FDH Managing Director Mike Chiwalo says the Bank has donated MK 27.5 million of which will go towards purchase of food items and non food items.

Chiwalo further said that even though the donations can not reverse the tragedy of the floods , but it is a step towards assisting these families to get back on their feet.

He emphasised the need for Department Disaster management of affairs (DODMA)
to manage well resources aided towards those affected with cyclone Ana.
