Former MEC commissioner Linda Kunje convicted over Chakwera’s convoy obstruction

ZOMBA-(MaraviPost)-Former Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) commissioner Linda Kunje on Friday, August 19, 2022 convicted for obstructing President Lazarus Chakwera’s convoy.

Kunje committed the offence in 2020 in Zomba.

The court also revoked her bail and will be remanded at prison awaiting sentence.

Not only that but also Kunje’s former driver, Jones Tewesa, received a congruent verdict.

Both parties, defense and state will present aggravating and mitigating factors on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.

Kunje starts enjoying cell life immediately.
