MWANZA-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi police in the border district of Mwanza are keeping in custody Grey Abraham 45 and Mike Daniel 19 for possessing fake Malawian currency.
The first to be arrested was Mike Daniel at Riverside bottle store on Monday, January 6 at 03:00hrs where he wanted to buy beers using the fake 2000kwacha note.
Edwin Kaunda Mwanza police publicist told The Maravi Post that after interview the suspect Daniel led the police officers to the house of Grey Abraham where 33 two thousand kwacha fake notes were found.
“The two will appear in Court soon to answer the charge off possession of fake currency,” says Kaunda.
Abraham comes from Lupiya village TA Kanduku in Mwanza while Daniel is from Nchotseni village TA Kanduku in Mwanza.
