Abida Mia at Chikwawa  NkombeziThousands of people in Chikwawa Nkombezi constituency had another special day to interract with the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Shadow Member of Parliament (MP), Abida Sidik Mia on a Sunday that was logged with  development sharpening activities.

Flanked by the MCP Vice President, Sidik Mia, Abida attended prayers at Glad Tidings Church in the area of Group Village Headman Msomo before meeting wives of traditidional leaders at Jombo Primary School ground in the constituency.

Addressing the congregants during the church function, the female politician called for effective coordination between the church and political leaders so that, the area should continue registering peace and harmony, which is an effective recipe for tangible area as well as national  development.

During the meeting with wives of traditional leaders, Abida Mia commended the vital advisory role wives of traditional leaders play to their husbands.

Before outlining her development agenda for the constituency, Abida who is fondly refered to as “adona” took the opportunity to urge her fellow women to take part in her colossal plan of further developing the area to the lofty levels.

On the day’s afternoon, Abida alongside the MCP Veep and the party’s Deputy Director of Research, Iryas Karim who is also legislator for Chikwawa South, interacted with thousands of youths and supporters at Nsinja Primary School ground where mammoth crowds gathered for grand finals of the zonal level football bonanza as well as hear the message of hope from their political leaders towards a one great future.

The MCP Veep therefore assured that, through his wife, Abida Mia, the constituency would once again retrace its lost glory and register even more.

“A vibrant and tireless woman she is in whom I have absolute faith and trust that, she will resuscitate the lost glory of this area and take it to even greater heights,” said  Mia.
