LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Botswana President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko is visiting Malawi for three days.
Boko is expected to arrive in Malawi on Saturday, July 5, 2025 through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in the capital Lilongwe.
Reads Foreign Affairs Ministry statement issued on Friday afternoon, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to inform the public that Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, President of the Republic of Botswana, will undertake a 3-day State Visit to the Republic of Malawi from 5th to 7th July, 2025”.
Adds the statement, “During the visit, President Advocate Duma Boko, will be the Guest of Honour at Malawi’s 61st Independence Anniversary Celebrations to be held at Bingu National Stadium, on Sunday, 6th July, 2025. Ahead of the celebrations, President Advocate Duma Boko and His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi, will hold consultations and lead bilateral discussions on various areas of cooperation in order to further strengthen the cordial relations that exist between Malawi and Botswana.
“President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko of the Republic of Botswana will arrive through Kamuzu International Airport on Saturday, 5th July, 2025 at 13:00 hours and depart on Monday, 7th July, 2025 at 10:35 hours, through the same airport”.
On Independence Day Celebrations, Malawi’s Flames will face Botswana football team in an international friendly match at Bingu National Stadium.
