Chakwera to engage youth in wildlife conservation

HARARE-(MANA)-President Lazarus Chakwera has committed that Malawi will fully engage the young population in wildlife conservation.

Chakwera said this Friday in an interview with Malawi News Agency (MANA) at the end of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Transfrontieer Conservation Area Summit held in Harare, Zimbabwe.

He said Malawi has the highest population of youth as such engaging them will empower the young population thereby winning the battle of conserving wildlife and the environment.

Meanwhile President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, who is the current SADC Chairperson, has encouraged member countries to adopt science based approach in environmental conservation.

President Chakwera has since returned home through Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe.
