FDH Bank appeals against IRC ruling to compensate employees

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-FDH Bank has appealed Industrial Relations Court (IRC) ruling in Blantyre that the bank should pay compensation and Severance Benefits to 212 of its former workers .

This follows as the Bank fired 212 employees in 2016 on redundancy grounds when FDH merged with the Malawi Savings Bank.

The employees sued the bank to the industrial relations court who happens to win the case .

With the notice of appeal, made available to Maravi Post the Bank is not satisfied with eight grounds that led to a decision that the bank should pay the embedded employees.
