PRETORIA-(MaraviPost)-Former Malawi President Arthur Peter Mutharika is said to be responding well to South Africa medical treatment he underwent two weeks ago.

According to inside PAGE House sources, the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leader Mutharika has a number of illments which South Africa doctors are attending to including, arm, ear impairment, stomachec and among others.

“Its pleasing to mention that confirmed reports from South Africa state that the former president, professor APM is feeling much better. This is good news worthy sharing.

“Lately, he has been responding positively to medication to an extent that he started physiotherapy on Monday evening. From day one of this medical stage (physiotherapy) thr professor has been doing extremely well,” PAGE House source reveals.

She added, “By today, APM could have been out of the hospital but the only problem is that general medical practitioners observed a bit of stomach swelling which they say might be caused by stomach gas or fluid retention in simple cases or simple circumstances

“Despite this simple hiccup, the amazing professor is in a vibrant mood and eagerly waiting to go back home to spend quality time with all well wishing Malawians”.

Meanwhile, DPP Secretary General Peter Munkhitho has issued statement informing party members about Mutharika longer stay in South Africa.

However, Munkhitho is noncommittal of sharing more details of Mutharika’s RSA trip.

When The Maravi Post broke about Mutharika’s RSA trip, the party came with different narratives; he was at PAGE HOUSE in Mangochi, he was on business trip.

Some DPP zealots went overboard sharing old photos of Mutharika in 2018 UNGA summit.
