BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Fabio Capanessi, a French national and a resident of Sunnyside, has obtained a court order restraining Sunny side SDA church from holding its camp meeting outdoors, citing noise disturbances.

According to church elders, Capanessi has been in conflict with the church for several years, frequently reporting them to the Blantyre City Council.

Despite the church’s efforts to notify him of their scheduled camp meeting, which was set to take place from September 2 to 6, 2025, Capanessi remained silent until August 29, 2025, when the church received the court order.

The church has been forced to relocate the camp meeting indoors until further notice.

Court order issued

The congregation, comprising parents, youths, and children, is currently worshiping together in church.

Attempts to reach church’s pastor for comments were unsuccessful, as his phone calls went unanswered.

This development has sparked concern within the community, with many questioning the timing and motivations behind Capanessi’s actions.

The church has expressed its disappointment and frustration, hoping for a swift resolution to the matter.
