The Kwera Education Fund has emphasized the importance of resilience for university students to reach their full potential in contributing to national development projects.
Speaking at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), Chimwemwe Kamwendo, the organization’s Chief Operating Officer, encouraged students to persevere through challenges and stay focused on their goals.
Kamwendo made these remarks during the award ceremony of outstanding students under the Kwera programme. The organization provides financial support to over 1,000 students in public universities, covering tuition fees and providing educational materials.
This support enables students to pursue their academic goals without significant financial burdens.
Dr. Daimon Kambewa, Kwera patron for the LUANAR community, also addressed the awardees, urging them to remain committed to the principles of the fund. “Stay focused and dedicated to your studies,” he advised, adding that, “Your contributions to national development will be invaluable.”
The awardees included notable students such as Leticia Chiuli from Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHES), Pemphero Ntanga from LUANAR, Collins Mwenifumbo, and Esther Chimbereko of KUHES.
