….Malawi 1-5 Saudi Arabia

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi National Beach Soccer head Coach Willy Kumilambe attributed to the Malawi’s 5-1 humiliation to the guest Saudi Arabia in the ongoing Cosafa Beach Soccer Senior championship to lack of experience.
Kumilambe said, “I am very much disappointed because the margin is not respectable,sometimes when you lose with respectable margin may be you can say something. But for this defeat it pains me alot because all the goals they scored originated from our silly mistakes.The boys lacked experience at the same time relaxation after winning the first match against South Africa.
“I have noted the mistakes we made in today’s game and i am upbeat that we will rectify and be ready to defeat Seychelles in our group A last game on Wednesday”.
Malawi started on a high note in the first period and no wonder despite sharing the 0-0 spoils,Sandram Saddie Ussi broke the deadlock at 15th minute into the second period.
However, things started getting out of Kumilambe’s boy in the same second period as Saudi Arabia scored two quick goals.
At the end of the second period, Saudi Arabia led Malawi by 4-1 before scoring the other goal in the final period to put the scoreline at 5-1.
Malawi’s Dala Simba, Sandram Ussi missed other opportunities.
With the loss, Malawi has to win their last group A match against Seychelles to qualify to the semifinals of the championship.
Currently all the four teams in group A which comprises of the host South Africa, Malawi, Seychelles and guest Saudi Arabia have three points and qualification remains wide open.
