Police have since launched a manhunt

Police in Karonga are hunting for unknown man who was found with a left chopped albino hand in his sack bag on Sunday, police have confirmed. The police said this happened in the morning at Alimwene guesthouse which is along Bingu high way close to Southern bottlers’ warehouse in the district town.

Maliyana Mbewe who is one of the workers at the guesthouse disclosed to Maravipost that the man booked the room last Sunday.

“He booked room 2 at the price of K2000 last Sunday morning and left out. And around 4 pm, we saw unknown bicycle taxi boy bringing his sack bag with potatoes inside telling us that he has been sent by the room owner,” said Mbewe.

According to Mbewe, she put the sack bag in the room as reported by the taxi bicycle operator but the owner did not returne up to date.

“We rocked his room in order to keep his things safel.  Ironically I saw the police asking me to open the sack bag today and we find something wrapped in a plastic bag. After opening the plastic I saw a left hand of albino,” added Mbewe.

Karonga police said the hand is currently at the hospital waiting for medical examination.

The police said they were tipped by some well wishers about the development.
