Malawi Police hunting Kenyan Catholic priest Cyprian Mayingi for indecent assault at Chaminade school

MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Police Service (MPS) in Karonga are on manhunt for a Kenyan Catholic Cleric working as a Chaplain at Chaminade Secondary School on allegations that he indecently assaulted a Form 4 student at the institution.

Karonga Police Station Officer In-charge, Edwin Munkhambo told Told The Maravi Post on Monday, March 20, 2023 that the suspect Priest Rev. Father Cyprian Mayingi is alleged to have been fondling boys private parts and sucking them.

Munkhambo added that parents of one of the students reported the matter to Police, who eventually visited the scene but could not trace him.

The Officer In-charge added that suspect that more students could have been abused at the school in this way.
