#Malawi’s Cyclone Freddy impact: Prophet Bushiri’s hired helicopter in for relief items distribution

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The much awaited helicopter which Prophet Shepherd Bushiri hired landed at Chileka international airport in Blantyre on Monday, afternoon, March 20, 2023.

The helicopter is meant to assist in providing relief items to 600 families affected by Tropical Cyclone Freddy in Mulanje.

Prophet Bushiri told the news conference at the airport that food distribution to the victims will start tomorrow, Tuesday, March 21.

The man of God disclosed that the plane has the capacity to carry goods weighing 1,000 kilograms at once.

He says apart from supporting the people with reliefs items, he will also assist the people to rebuild, a project he has estimated at around MK500 million.

The Leader for ECG Jesus Nation Church Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has adopted eight camps in Mulanje district which have been neglected following Tropical Cyclone Freddy impact.

Bushiri disclosed the development on Saturday, March 18, 2023 when he visited some areas that have been affected by floods due to Cyclone.

Tropical Cyclone Freddy has killed about 476, injuring 918 while displacing 490,098 in the southern region districts as of March 19, 2023.
