Malawi senior army officers hack each other with panga over beer

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Reports reaching this publication reveal that two senior Malawi Defence Force (MDF) solders were on Friday hacked each other with a panga over beer.

Sources confided in Maravi Post disclosed that the incident happened at Kamuzu Barrack (KB)’s officers Mess in the capital Lilongwe during a party

The two senior commissioned officers identified as Major Katumbi and Lt Col Benjamin Chirwa were fighting over beer.

“One officer stabbed the other with a bottle then the other went and grabbed a panga knife and hacked his fellow officer.The officers are live with wounds,” says the source.

There was no immediate reaction from MDF leadership over the matter.
