ATLANTA, (MaraviPost): Malawians in a WhatsApp group known as “Malawians in Atlanta” are inviting members and all Malawians and friends of Malawi in the Atlanta area for a Barbeque Meet and Greet event scheduled for November 16th starting at 3 PM at Jones Bridge Park, 4901 E Jones Bridge Road , Peachtree Corners, Georgia.
Even though the WhatsApp group was started almost two years ago and has seen itself grow into a community of Malawians supporting each other in times of tragedies and events, many have never met to celebrate, meet and greet until now.
Commenting on the planned BBQ, Mark Uko one of the founders wrote to the group “As we are all aware that this group was created almost two years ago. it is, therefore, very appropriate for us to meet, know each other and share ideas of how we want to move forward as year 2020 approaches. Let’s not miss this opportunity to begin a new chapter in our community. Please forward to those not on this forum. We are encouraged to bring something to share and more details will follow.
