MZUZU-(Maravi Post) – On the face of it, grounded by his own familiarity at his own school results for Abdulhamid Chazolokera to seek a variety of perspectives and several opinions in his mind, trying to figure it out on how he can promote talents for Malawian upcoming artists, Abdul really cuts a lonely figure.
Chazolokera is not with life presently. He does not like how artists’ are given a cold shoulder by the music industry as many of them have talents but cannot afford to market their work.
A good expectation of having a successful work art remains fresh as ever.
“Those were the good, old memories, after being approached by many young and upcoming artists’ for financial help to promote their talent I thought it was wise to come with the idea of a music promotion diligence.
“I saw that most people have been given a cold shoulder by the music industry as many of them have talents but cannot afford to penetrate the market and become successful on Art as their chosen career,” Abdul gloomily said while his face down feeling the pain.
He said: “It has always been an old painful story when I see a young talented person being wasted because there is no one who seems to help or mentor even just to inspire even if we do not notice the talent.
As the years passed dreams started becoming stronger and stronger.
Following that, Abdulhamid Chazolokera a Malawian breed but based in South Africa started to make a fortunate out of his friends’ desperation.
“I have four friends who owned CGK Music pro. This in the later days was known as Chombo Ghetto Killaz from Nkhotakota, by Smith brothers including SOMESTORY and Artse Again, the Afro-pop artists and Shaffi Banda a dancehall artist.
“I was approached by these four friends if I can safeguard the brand and I adapted the name CGK Music Pro. I then started to dream of turning it into an international brand,” Abdul said while thinking wisely.
Of course, he claims that was not the end of it all when it came to how he can assist artists’ in promoting their music.
Having approved by his four friends, he founded his own initiative of a web based launch- as he launched his music website dubbed Malawirise.com on January 24, 2020 as it is registered under Malawi business, hence, the website will be officially launched in Malawi in the days to come.
“Malawirise.com mainly targets Malawi’s upcoming artists’ to upload and promote their music at an affordable rate.
“As a music promoter, I will offer artists’ a chance for a live radio coverage on some radio stations that am currently negotiating with,” Abdul explained.
He further said: “Live coverage will be arranged with Malawian radios but if the artist wants to come and perform in South Africa at my company, I will simply arrange that for them.
“The lucky ones will have a chance for free recording at Banana Bush Records in Johannesburg owned by my co-owners and founder the website,” Abdul explained.
There is a proudest achievement from the day the website was launched.
“We have received a lot of support from both established and upcoming artists, so I will say the process has been very good and the future is promising,” He said.
A blessing came as he got a notable to do more with his work.
“I am helping JustMusic Inc to have a successful launch on Mizu-Ya-McLuther’s poject launch.
He explained happily: “A m also helping the Muslim Artists that are currently In the studio in Lilongwe where by a number of acapella and poetry artists are coming up with one project.
“Am also planning to have a modern recording studio in Lilongwe this coming May so that the needy talented Malawians can access at a low cost or even ffreely,” he said.
Facing all this, Abdul looks up to skies for answers.
“I look for a day when the sky opens its floodgates,” he says, “My ain is to make sure that every talent has been utilized and that no one is left behind.
“The goal is to reach out to many people who felt left alone in their dreams because I believe that the more everyone is given an opportunity to utilize their talents we will be able and capable Malawians.
He said: “This is because Art is a very good business that can also change many peoples’ lives.
