A horrific incident has occurred in Ntcheu, where a 52-year-old man, identified as Enock White, was killed and mutilated by hyenas.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on the night of March 17, in the village of Nenani, in the area of Traditional Authority Mpando.
Police spokesperson for Ntcheu, Jacob Khembo, confirmed the incident, stating that White was attacked by hyenas while walking home from work.
Khembo explained that White, a farmhand, was returning from his workplace at Dzing’anda Farm, where he worked as a casual laborer, when the incident occurred.
According to eyewitnesses, White and his colleagues were walking home when they decided to take a shortcut through the bush.
It was during this time that White lagged behind, and his colleagues assumed he had stopped to relieve himself. However, when they failed to find him, they raised the alarm.
