MCP’s pressure group SLNM publicist Alex Major arrested over leaked letter on Chakwera’s failed leadership

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-In desperate move to silent dissenting views in Malawi Congress Party (MCP) the main partner in Tonse administration, has used the police to arrest the party’s pressure group Second Liberation of Malawi National/Malawi Congress Party (SLNM)’s spokesperson Alex Major for the leaked letter against President Lazarus Chakwera’s leadership.

Major who is also MCP’s former Member of Parliament (MP) for Kasungu west constituency confirmed his arrest with The Maravi Post on Friday, February 12, 2021.

The SLNM’s spokesperson Major is currently in police custody at Lingadzi police station, in the capital Lilongwe.

When asked as to why was arrested, Major says, “Its related to the leaked letter you carried an article on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Maravi Post”.

The Maravi Post which is deemed to be feared online publication among MCP gurus and supporters on Thursday carried an article titled, “Cracks in MCP as pressure group is born; Unhappy with Chakwera’s leadership in Tonse admin”-

MCP gurus have been threatening Maravi Post editorial team with arrests if continues to exposes evil deeds in Tonse administration.
