
MZUZU (MaraviPost)—After being knocked out of the Presidential cup on Wednesday by the Simama League side Mchengautuwa FC, the Green Intellectuals from the evergreen city of Mzuzu—Mzuni FC—on Saturday welcomed the super league rookies Max Bullets in style after baptizing them with 2 goals to usher in a third consecutive win at Mzuzu Stadium.
The students were determined to bring smile to their supporters, coming wave after wave, in search for a goal and their efforts paid 36 minutes into the first half when Wacheta Mwenifumbo scored for Mzuni as a result of Max Bullets defenders poor communication. Lughindiko Mushani scored the cautioning goal three minutes after the first goal making it 2-0 when the team went to recess.
Come second half, Max Bullets tried hard to level the scores but the organised Mzuni FC, with a home ground advantage, well defended their goals until full regulation time.
This means that Mzuni is still on the second position of the legue table with 9 points from 4 games.
