Nigerian Sotitobire Praising Chapel burnt to ashes over missing exhumed baby body from altar

ONDO STATE-(MaraviPost)-Angry youths have today set ablaze Sotitobire Praising Chapel in Nigeria in reaction to rumors of exhumation of corpse of a one- year- old boy who was reported missing during a worship service in the church some weeks ago.

The child was kidnapped in the church and rumours had it all that the church was not showing remorseful about the missing boy.

Reports have also revealed that the pastor of the church has on multiple occasions send people to the parents of the missing child to silence them over the matter.

On the other hand, police has been accused of not conducting a proper investigation on the matter.

So far, a policeman and a commercial bike man have been confirmed dead following the fracas. Ondo state police confirmed the incident but denied other rumors surrounding the incident.

Ondo State Police Command Has asked the general public to refrain from action that can lead to distraction of property and loss of loves due to the false rumors that ignited the incident.

“It is most unfortunate that this misleading information spearheaded by a popular TV station, has ignited a spontaneous reactions from the people leading to wanton destruction of properties and injuries to many.

The church building was also set ablaze by irate youths. Some of our officers dispatched to the scene to contain the situation were pelted with stones with many of them sustaining injuries, ” reads part of the statement released by the state police.

Meanwhile, Prophet Alfa Babatunde who is the founder of the church is in police custody following the incident.
