“No lockdown for Covid-19 in Malawi”- Court grants injunction

HRDC under Gift Trapance leadership

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The High Court Judge Kenyatta Nyirenda on Friday, afternoon, April 17, 2020 granted Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) a seven day injunction stopping Malawi government from implementing a lockdown of the country due to the coronavirus.

The judge has also ordered an inter-party hearing within the seven days.

The Judicial review is therefore slated for April 24, 2020.

HRDC under Gift Trapance leadership went to court against the proposed lockdown which was slated for April 18 to May 9, 2020.

  1. The Judge has just committed genocide for innocent civilians. Law of ignorance to science…he should in the least have asked for scientific clarity instead. But Covid-19 will be the turning point opening people’s eyes to this rampant legal tennis paralysis.
