BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Natural Resources Minister Eisenhower Mkaka has disowned news making rounds on social media that he has sent a multitude of his relatives to Kanjedza Police Training School without being shortlisted.
Mkaka who is Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Secretary General (SG) is in the news on wrong reason as his political future seems gloomy.
On his facebook page, Mkaka has described the news of sending relations to police training school as fake, propaganda and a way of tarnishing his image.
“Please note that this fake news, propaganda, and works of those who do not wish me well. I have sent no single individual not even by Kabaza,” says Mkaka.
His comment on the matter comes after the requests he has been receiving from journalists, asking him to confirm whether the news is true or not.
But many have commented in favour of the article author, saying the news might be true looking at how the current Chakwera’s administration is handling things.
“Honourable Mkaka I don’t know what do u discus in MCP. But the truth is that your administration is worse Malawi has ever had. Malawians lives are becoming harder each day passing since MCP ascended the throne. Corruption is worse than before. Nothing tangible is being done by your administration only hearing stories of theft, corruption and nepotism and useless arrests. Work out of your administration failures. Things are not well.Malawians are regretting for voting you into power,” Emmanuel John.
” It is hard to trust you Hon. Mkaka. You recruited Chakwera’s daughter to a foreign mission without consulting his father, Chakwera was embarrassed… What can stop you doing the same thing again? It’s not hate as others might think but Malawians don’t want nepotism,” Enique Kazindonde.
Another one Kenneth Bwanali says” The point is the recruitment of these newly recruited police under your party leadership is a total mess. Very shameful. The who process has to be investigated. Remember, all these are happening under mcp leadership of which you are not a Secretary General but also a Cabinet Minister,”.
The article that shared on GLK Cameras a day ago, reported that there was a chaos at Kanjedza Police Training School following the news that Mkaka sent his unqualified relatives to go for Police Training.
The article further reported that the highly tempered meeting of Senior Police Officers was conducted to strategize the way forward on the matter (cancelling the trainings and start again the recruitment process).
