Standard Bank in Malawi pampers 400 customers for Valentines

Up to 400 customers of Standard Bank at the weekend received special treats of rose flowers and chocolates as the bank joined lovers around the world to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

At 10 of the bank’s designated branches across the country, the unsuspecting customers were in for a pleasant surprise as bank staff, dressed up in red welcomed them with the Valentines’ Day gifts.

Head of Personal and Business Banking Margaret Kubwalo-Chaika who championed the romantic banking adventure said the first 40 customers that transacted at 10 major branches received either chocolates or bouquets of fresh rose flowers—the gifts that symbolize St Valentine’s Day.

“In addition, Standard Bank took to offering more personalized services to the customers by deploying senior managers and executives to serve on counters, as a way of demonstrating how much we care for our customers,” she said.

Chaika said as a moving forward bank, Standard Bank continues to strive to remain relevant to its customers by responding to their needs during important anniversaries such as the weekender.

“We would like to reaffirm our commitment that as the bank that loves its customers that will continue providing products and services that respond to the needs of the customers,” she said.

The Head of Personal and Business Banking thanked customers for the support and loyalty that has helped contribute to its growth in the 46 years of its existence in Malawi.

In addition Private Banking customers in Blantyre and Lilongwe received Ferreo Rocher a special Italian chocolate.

Major branches where Standard Bank employees gave customers the romantic treat are Blantyre, Ginnery Corner, Limbe, Chichiri, Zomba in Southern region, Capital City, Lilongwe, Bwaila Service Centre, and City Mall in Central region and Mzuzu branch in the Northern region.
