Eva B is the first female rapper to come out of Lyari. Because of her family, she decides to perform under a stage name. But an alias did not stop her voice and talent reaching social media, where she holds a community of fans that only want to hear her rap! She made her mark with “Gully Girls” along with Momina Mustehsan. The two came together to compose this masterpiece for the opening performance for the LSAs. Let’s just say that she set the bar really high!
The Best Actor Nomination Did Not Go As Planned!
Imagine waiting for the hosts to mention the nominees but end up hearing a name… where did that come from! Duo Uzma Khan and Ahmed Ali Butt stepped on stage to announce the winners in the TV category. But it appears that Uzma got the wrong card, and instead of announcing the nominees, she revealed the best actor, Feroze Khan. The audience took it as a joke, especially Ahmed Ali Butt. He did his best to make the most out of the silly situation. Poor Feroze Khan, he did not get to enjoy his big moment!
So Did The Singer Of The Year…
Momina Mustehsan announced the Song Of The Year when the audience was expecting Singer Of The Year. We’re sure Uzma Khan didn’t feel too awkward there. It took them 40 minutes to realise that they had actually forgotten to announce the Singer Of The Year. Thanks to Bushra Ansari, Mosin Abbas Haider and Sohail Haider could enjoy the stage as Best Singers!
Meera Comes Back To Remind Everyone Who’s The Queen!
Meera made a grand comeback with Baaji. And it appears that she’s not done reminding everyone of the diva she is! After many years, she is back to perform on stage. Coincidentally, her comeback on stage happened at the Lux Styles Awards 2019. The enjoyment and excitement packed in her performance made the audience smile throughout. All that could be heard at the end of her show is, “Queen!! Queen!! Meera Jee!” It seems like she was successful in making a big comeback!
