BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-TNM plc has parted ways with its Chief Executive Officer Michiel Buitelaar after two years in charge of the pioneer mobile company.
In a statement to its shareholders, TNM board said Buitelaar has departed from the Company following a mutual separation agreement with the Company.
“The Board expresses its appreciation to Mr. Buitelaar for his efforts and contribution during the time he served the Company and wishes him success,” reads the statement signed by Company Secretary Christina Mwanza dated 5th November 2020.
“In the meantime, the Board has appointed Mr. Arnold M’bwana, the current Chief Finance Officer, as Acting Chief Executive Officer until the position is substantively filled,” reads part of the statement.
Meanwhile Buitelaar has bade farewell to TNM employees through an email released on Thursday evening.
“Dear colleagues, I am stepping down as CEO of TNM. I thoroughly enjoyed my position and working with you, but my personal reasons have brought me to this decision. Although times are not easy, I am confident that management and Board will navigate TNM through them, showing Malawi that TNM is the tech company to be proud of. I am proud to have been part of it,” reads Buitelaar’s email to members of staff.
