DUMAS (MaraviPost) — At least one person is dead while 24 people were injured during a car show on Saturday night, March 19, 2022 outside Arkansas car show.
Chief Keith Finch with the Dumas Police Department confirmed the news in a statement.

According to Finch, multiple gunmen opened fire at around 7:25 p.m during the 16th annual “Hood-Nic” event held by the Delta Neighborhood Empowerment Youth Organization.
Among the victims were children who were transferred to children hospital in the area and multiple other victims were taken to local hospitals, KARK reported.
It is not known how bad the injuries were, but one person was taken into custody in relation to the shooting.
The car show is an annual community event held each spring to raise funds for scholarships and school supplies.
Commenting on the matter, the car show’s lead organizer, Wallace McGehee, has expressed condolences to the victims’ families and the community.
United States has experienced 11 worst mass shootings in the last couple of years. The worst mass shooting was the Las Vegas Strip massacre in 2017, which resulted in 58 deaths and 546 injuries.
