NEW YORK-(MaraviPost)-US father kills three of his children including a forth bystander before turning the gun on himself inside a church in the Sacramento suburbs.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sgt. Rod Grassmann confirmed the report during a news conference.
According to Grassmann, the shooting took place at The Church in Sacramento in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood, where the suspect opened fire in the main sanctuary area on Monday just after 5 p.m..
The suspect, identified as David Fidel Mora-Rojas, is believed to be the father of three of the victims. The mother had a restraining order against the children’s father and she was not in the building at the time of the shooting.
However, CNN report disclosed that the fifth person found dead was identified as the wife of the shooter.
Other reports suggest that the incident happened during a supervised visit between the father and his children inside the church and the fifth person who was killed was a man supervising the visit.
It is not known at this time if a service or event was taking place at the church at the time.
Investigators have labeled the shooting as a domestic violence incident and more probe into the matter is still ongoing
