Are you trying to contact someone, but struggling to find their email address? Maybe you’ve searched your email account for any old emails to or from them, checked contact pages and the about sections of their social media profiles, and are still coming up empty. If you’ve tried all the obvious methods of finding an email address and are still having no luck, try one of these five strategies instead.
Contact Details Lookup Services:
Contact details discovery tools are some of the easiest ways to find an email address for pretty much anybody. With Nuwber, you can simply enter the person’s name, telephone number or physical address and you’ll be able to find any other contact information available for them, including their email address. It can also be a useful tool if you already have an email address for somebody and need to get further contact information for them, such as a telephone number or a business address.
Use Twitter:
People often share their email addresses when they Tweet, but replace ‘.’ and ‘@’ symbols with ‘dot’ and ‘at’ instead, to hide the address from bots. If you think that the person you’re trying to contact might have shared their email address on Twitter this way in the past, you may be able to find it using Twitter Advanced Search. Look for the words ‘dot’ and ‘at’ in tweets from the person you’re trying to contact and narrow it down by including words like ‘contact’ or ‘email’ to your search terms.
Subscribe to Their Mailing List:
`If the person you are contacting has a blog that gives you the option to subscribe, you can usually do this by using the opt-in form on their website. Then, any newsletter emails that you receive will come from an email address that you can use to get in touch with them. And, doing this also provides you with a great opportunity to start building relationships with somebody that you hope to do business or work together in another professional capacity with. Just send a quick question or opinion back as a reply to one of the newsletter emails.
Contact Them on Twitter:
Along with using Twitter Advanced Search, you might want to go one step further and reach out to the person you’re trying to contact on Twitter to ask them for their email address. This is ideal if you have been unable to find their contact information using the search function, and can also help you start your professional relationship with them. Once you send them an email, they’ll have a better idea of who you are compared with sending them a cold email.
Use the Website Contact Form:
If the person you are trying to get in touch with works for a company that lists a generic contact email address or has a contact form on their website for inquiries, you might want to try using this as a method of getting in touch with them and ultimately getting their work email address. Just shoot a simple message over to the generic contact email address or using the contact form and ask the company to put you in touch with the person that you are trying to reach; most will be happy to oblige.
It’s not always easy to find somebody’s email online, but using these five methods should help you get in touch quickly.
