A DPP Supporter takes on Pastor Lazarus Chakwera’s leadership style on Facebook

While the Peter Mutharika Government at times has been its own enemy and failed to defend itself  on many fronts, they have been fortunate to have such an effective opposition led by Pastor turned politician Lazarus Chakwera of the MCP.

Feeling charitable towards Lazarus Chakwera during the Christmas season, James Mwangalli a staunch supporter of the DPP who has used the likeness of Bingu WA Mutharika as his Facebook cover wrote the following of the Reverend:

Sometimes, I feel like some quarters might feel I have personal issues against the Rev Dr Pastor Lazarus Chakwera, however the truth is I got no personal issues at all.

Just that the man is so contradictory and in his attempt to be politically correct and relevant, he is incoherent in what he talks and what he does.

Think of the following quote “The economic benefits of our country continue to be enjoyed by a privileged few, while the majority whose numbers continue to increase, are left out of these economic & development benefits.

While few have more than they need, many Malawians have almost nothing, not even knowing where their next meal is going to come from” Now, my question is , this is a man who just recently accepted a salary hike, this is a man who connived with the Speaker of the National Assembly to buy state of the art cars for himself and the Speaker, this is a man who gets a million kwacha as house allowance every month, here is a man who gets a million plus as fuel allowance monthly etc.

Does the Reverend, think this extravagance, will bridge the gap between the rich and the poor? Who is he trying to fool?

Does he really believe that Malawians are so daft not to discern how inconsiderate the man is, looking at his extravagance at parliament? Whoever is advising this man is misleading him, and the more he talks, the more he exposes himself and consequently disconnecting himself from the majority Malawians he is making reference to. Or is it an issue of do as I say not as I do?

Mwangalli is right about Lazarus Chakwera. As a matter of fact Julianna Lunguzi who has done by deed and example has shown more leadership than the Reverend. He talks a good game but shows no result.

Maybe the Reverend can up his game in 2016 otherwise Peter Mutharika will smile to 2019.
