Airtel Express Plus Shop opens in Malawi’s Zomba district

Blantyre, May 5: Airtel Malawi on Wednesday opened an Express plus Shop in Zomba as part of its commitment in offering the citizenry telecommunications products and services.

Airtel’s Chief Commercial Officer Charles Kamoto said the shop will offer handset sales, Airtel money services, airtime, sim card replacements, Airtel data experience zone through free WIFI as well as  Airtel internet on mobile devices.

 

“Airtel shall continue to stay ahead of time as regards the provision of mobile telecommunications’ dynamic and we have to be in sync likewise so that our subscribers get added values for being with the Airtel family,” said Kamoto.

According to Kamoto, Airtel remains determined to adding the socio-economic value to products and services.

Deputy Mayor of Zomba, Davie Maunde saluted Airtel for investing in the city.

“Airtel has shown strong commitment to business by offering the much needed quality telecommunications’ products and services. Over the years, Airtel has also proved to be an instrumental corporate citizen who has helped to uplift lives of many people and various key sectors of our nation like education and the health sector,” said Maunde.

“No national progress is successful and sustainable without economic development. In focusing our efforts on the economy, we have always emphasized the role and participation of the private sector in rebuilding our country, our cities, our towns, our communities and our society among others,” he said.
