LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-In its quest to affordability drive for customers, the country leading smartphone service provider, Airtel Malawi through Airtel Money platform has removed electricity transaction fees.

This follows he recent reduction of cash-out fees and revision of agent
commissions for cash-in and cash-out transactions.

In a brief statement made available to The Maravi Post on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 and signed by Polycarp Ndekana, Airtel Money Director says the company has removed any transaction fee which was pegged at MK200

Ndekana the changes are some of the initiatives implemented as part of company’s affordability drive for customers.

He added that the direct link between the platforms will ensure a seamless experience for customers with minimal system interruptions.

“The mobile digital payments leader Airtel Money has announced the removal of transaction fees for customers purchasing ESCOM tokens from K200 per transaction m to no cost (free of charge) effective 3rd September 2020.

“Airtel Money has also directly linked its platform with ESCOM, whereby
previously, the two systems were linked through a third party,” Ndekana.

Weeks ago Airtel also reduced data and voice bundle rates to all customers
