Ambassador Brian Bowler back at the UN

Malawi’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, H.E. Mr. Brian Bowler and the Consul General of Kosovo in New York, H.E. Mrs. Teuta Sahatqija signed the agreement on behalf of their Governments.

The new Permanent Representative of Malawi to the United Nations, Brian G. Bowler, presented his credentials to UN Secretary?General Ban Ki?moon in December 2014. Mr Bowler has been at his old Job for more than a month now.

Mr. Bowler has held the position from 2010 to 2012, prior to which he was Malawi’s High Commissioner to India, from 2008 to 2010, and Ambassador to Belgium, from 2004 to 2007.

During that period, he was also accredited to the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, France, the European Commission, African Caribbean Pacific Organization, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, World Trade Organization, World Food Programme and the International Court of Justice.

Mr. Bowler has also represented his country at numerous international conferences and meetings during his extensive service in both the private and public sectors.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Royal School of Science, Cranfield in the United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Shrivenham, also in that country.

Born on 27 November 1964 in Blantyre, Malawi, Mr. Bowler is married and has two children.
