Biyela defends Malawi’s Mhango’s recruitment amid lifestyle concerns

PRETORIA-(MaraviPost)-Richards Bay FC chairperson Sifiso Jomo Biyela has defended the recruitment of Malawian striker Gabadinho Mhango, dismissing concerns about his partying past.
Biyela believes that a player’s personal life shouldn’t affect their professional performance.

“Show me a PSL player who doesn’t drink alcohol?” Biyela posed the question, adding that players who drink often score goals. “What do I want? I want them to score, not change their lifestyle.”

Biyela emphasized that his role is to support players and get the best out of them, not judge their personal choices.

“I’m not a rehab, and I’m not Jesus,” he said, highlighting his focus on results rather than morality.

By defending Mhango’s recruitment, Biyela sends a clear message that performance matters most.

Gabadinho Mhango’s 11 year South African football career includes 7 teams, 62+ goals, and a recent move to Richards Bay FC, highlighting his adaptability and skill.
