Lesbianism,also called sapphism or female homosexuality is the tendency of a female to be emotionally and sexually attracted to other females.
A Lesbian is a female who is romantically attracted to other females.
By the laws of nature,human beings were created to meet their opposite sex.Lesbians have no romance feelings towards guys, though some do but majority of them do not.
Lesbianism is accepted by many countries in the world. In the western countries, lesbianism is considered as human right but here in Africa, lesbianism is a taboo to the society.
Lesbianism which is anything sexual that happens between females can be caused by:
Female students indulge in such act to avoid venereal diseases in a sense that, over 90% of such diseases is believed to be transmitted through sex between two opposite genders.
This becomes an assurance for such females so much that they practice it.
HIV/AIDS is an example of such diseases.
Some females also get influenced by their peers. This happens when peers trust themselves to an extend of not even thinking of how peers can be of bad influence on
. They trust that their peers cannot by any chance lead them astray.
They end up falling victims before maybe realising it.
Poor family upbringing is another heavy cause of lesbianism.
In a home where the female is exposed to clubbing, drinking, bad company without any advice, etc, the female child grows up to become exactly what she has been exposed to.
Because she lacks manners, sees and thinks all behaviors are not bad, she falls prey to lesbianism.
When religious fitness is not involved in the upbringing of the female child, lesbianism would be her choice at lot.
Avoiding pregnancy is one biggest reason for lesbianism. Pregnancy comes as a result of having sex( Male and female) but then, when females meet with their fellow females, getting fertile becomes impossible and so, in other to prevent that, females prefer becoming lesbians than getting pregnant
Disappointment also counts.
Most females get disappointed by some men who promise them marriage and out of bitterness, shame and disgrace,they become lesbians rather than sitting back and watching other men play with their emotions.
Aside all the benefits you will get from lesbianism,lesbians do face negative aspect such as;Lesbians always feel socially neglected and are always look down upon despite being legally accepted by many countries. Lesbianism also leads to fatherless babies.Lesbians can only become parents through adoption or approach sperm donor to mother a baby.
