“Honestly, I’m very gratefully humbled for the being elected as the head in the center’ party executive. My first work is to revive regional and grassroots structures by holding series of rallies that our supporters in rural areas are away of the party’s existence.

“I will make sure to be working with those contributed tirelessly for the party’s current stand. We want the leadership of MCP; Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to start concentrating to the southern and northern regions of the country while the center will remain in our hands. The new team, under my leadership will work untiringly taking the party to 2019 general elections victory as our main focus at hand”, assures Chilondola.

Speaking on how central region elections were faired compared with the southern region which held theirs on June 20, 2015, the party’s Spokesperson, Dr. Jessie Kabwira expressed gratitude over delegates’ discipline by making sure that the polls went smoothly without huddles.

“We are very happy that the central region has demonstrated maturity in handling elections by coming out with vibrant team to turn things for the better. The most important thing is that polls were transparent and credible. This is the reasons there was jubilation all over the hall when results were announced for a particular winner.

“This is a true reflection of MCP’s democratic governance of signaling out a possible Malawi come back in 2019 which will bail out the nation from social and economic injustices which have been going on  since 1994 as it’s the only party that knows what is best for this country”, said Dr Kabwira.
