DOWA-(MaraviPost) – Twenty-six year old Foster Kaikeni is under Dowa police custody, for allegedly attempting to sale his Cousin.
Dowa police station publicist Richard Kaponda, identified the victim as 20-Year old male, who met the fate on June 5, this year at Chinyanya Village Traditional Authority (T.A.) Chiwere in the district.
Kaponda told The Maravi Post that suspect wrote a letter to a certain business man, at Dowa Boma, the name (withheld) who owns some shops and Maize mills that he is offering for sale his cousin at undisclosed price.
The police publicist explained that the business man told the suspect to bring the cousin but later tipped the Police about the Himan offer deal.
When the agreed date came, the suspect came with the Victim and was left outside the shop so that the suspect should agree the price with the business Man.
“While they were agreeing the business businessman cheated the suspect that he wanted to answer the call of nature; and it was there where he called the Police.
“The police officers came and arrested the suspect. The suspect will appear in court soon, when the investigation have been completed,” said Kaponda.
Both the suspect and the cousin hail from Chinyanya Village Traditional Authority (T.A.) Chiwere in Dowa district.
